Randolph Crescent
Completed in 2010

This project involved the reconfiguration and complete refurbishment of a large 2-storey apartment within an A-listed Georgian terrace in the New Town. The main living level to the rear was opened up to create a new kitchen, dining and living space providing magnificent views across the Water of Leith below. The kitchen was conceived as two large pieces of "furniture", one an island and the other a storage wall, rather than a more conventional arrangement, as this was felt more appropriate to the scale and form of the space. Two very large suspended light fittings were incorporated over the island to give presence and help define the cooking, eating & living areas. Other features include a purpose-made bookcase with the living room and new fumed oak flooring throughout. The bathrooms in the property were fully refurbished with new fitments and natural stone finishes. The works also included the complete re-wiring of the property including high specification lighting, the installation of new plumbing & heating systems, complete refurbishment of all windows, various repairs and other building works.
