19 Dick Place
Completed in 2017

This project involved the construction of a new extension and the reconfiguration of existing ground floor areas to a Victorian villa, to improve amenity, flow and light. The new linear extension is located along the gable of the house and contains a new front entrance hall, bathroom, and kitchen to the rear. The existing rooms to the rear of the house were opened up to create a new living space and a large opening formed in the stone gable of the house to connect it with the new kitchen. A further opening was formed in the rear wall of the house to give the new space a direct relationship with the garden. The new extension has an inclined zinc roof incorporating several large rooflights bringing sunlight to the spaces below. The roof also cantilevers out at one end, creating a canopy above the new front entrance.
